With simple timber frames inspired by farm dwellings, lots of natural light, and, in some cases, actual sod-covered roofs. The goal was for the structures to blend in seamlessly with the surroundings to promote a symbiotic lifestyle between the residents and the land.

Sea Ranch is a private community. Unless you stay at one of the vacation homes or at the Sea Ranch Lodge, the grounds are off-limits to visitors.  During your time here, prepare to be drawn to its rugged coastline, its miles of hiking trails, and its deep connection to nature.

Centered around communal areas such as a gift shop, cafe, bar, restaurant, and large covered porch, the lodge has become a vital staple to the Sea Ranch Community. The Dining Room, which is the restaurant, boasts farm-to-table fare that complements the natural area and a sea view at all of its tables. There is also a store that sells specialty local merchandise and books in the area. 

Following a careful, and long-awaited, renovation, the 17 guest rooms are now open — each one an ode to the landscape, light, and legacy of this iconic coastal retreat. For a more private and elevated experience, you also have the option to stay at one of the homes on site. These homes are architectural masterpieces of themselves.
